Twelve institutions of the Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Pest and Tolna counties can now make preparations for improving their accessibility. Winners of the first round of the funding programme announced by the Danube-Mecsek Foundation include schools, health centres, family care points as well as community centres and retirement homes.

A total amount of HUF 305,087,062 grant was distributed among the first winners of the funding programme that was announced with HUF 585 mln funding amount in April. It was Hungary's National Development Agency (NFÜ) that approved the decision of the Foundation's advisory board, since the greater part of the available resources is granted by the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms. The award decisions of the second round (which is also the last) are likely to be announced in end-October.
