The Danube-Mecsek Regional Development Foundation announced this application under the umbrella of a complex accessibility activity for the local governments, their associations, institutions, public utility companies, NGOs and business entities in their area of public administration, in the 60 communities in the foundation's reach. The terms of the call for applications made grants available for realizing complex (physical, informational and communications) accessibility of the public utility service provider's buildings and the services provided in them.
In this sense providing complex accessibility means granting free obstacle-free access to public services for all disabled groups. For each case the call for applications specifies providing complex accessibility of a given public service (i.e. a whole institution, not only a given building). Accordingly, it must be decided which storeys or parts of a building that accommodates a given institution shall be made accessible in order to provide free access to a given public service. Deciding the type of accessibility to be improved to ensure access to the services of an institution is always the competence of rehabilitation engineers/experts.
The documentation for the 'Increased accessibility for disabled people in the area of Danube-Mecsek Regional Development Foundation' application is available in the Documents for application menu.
